What a treasure this post is. I share so many similar memories of my own Dad through food, Jan. He passed his sweet tooth, love of a full fridge and a comfort in a house full of guests (among other things) on to me and I couldn't be prouder. My imagination went directly to the two of them sharing stories of their daughters over flat slices of Neapolitan ice cream laying on a plate. In our house, it was served "cake stye" for fairness. With salad forks no less. ❤️

What an absolutely beautiful tribute to your dear old dad. Some of us were pretty lucky to have struck gold for dads. Thanks for this Jan and food is definitely a way to remember such fond memories. Ribs were a fav with my old pops too! xxo
